It's really about self love and high self esteem. Well, yes, the accumulated experience as a Boudoir Photographer has made me believe that Visual Impact affects the people you interact with psychologically. It affects them for good or bad for you. It happens with all visual art. The perception of beauty affects the behavior of a human being and sometimes, subdues it. Have you heard about Stendhal Syndrome? The perception of beauty accelerates the heart rate, this oxygenates the brain and consequently modifies behavior. Understanding this puts you in an advantageous position to be able to consciously influence with your Visual Impact.

That Visual Impact can have a very large natural component, however, what I have discovered in my years as a photographer is that you are as beautiful as you project yourself to others. Yes, my friend, because the beauty that interests us is perceived beauty and that can be manipulated. As it turns out, people understand beauty from their own personality formation and their own cultural patterns. In other words, they are not based on a “universal” beauty rule but rather based on their own rules learned in their own social contexts. What is attractive to a Samoan is most likely not attractive to a Swede despite more or less general patterns. The same applies the other way around. So it is not a question of how you look but of how they see you, how they perceive the beauty in you. In the chapter "Beauty, perception of beauty and attractiveness" I explain a little more what I think about it. How others perceive your beauty depends a lot on how you project it. That is in simple words, SELF-CONFIDENCE, SELF-ESTEEM and SELF-LOVE.
